Mushroom Beef Chili is one of the healthy dish and budget saving recipe, wherein it uses mushroom as an alternative of ground beef instead of using pure beef.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 lbs. mushrooms, chopped
- 1 15 oz. can pureed tomatoes
- 1 15 oz. can diced tomatoes
- 1 15 oz. can kidney beans
- 2 tbsp. oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp. chili powder
- 2 tbsp. salt
Cooking Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan saute onions and mushrooms until tender.
- Add the garlic, ground beef and stir, break up the meat until cooked or light brown.
- Add the remaining ingredients canned tomatoes, kidney beans and chili powder mix well.
- Then salt then stir and let it boil .
- Simmer in very low heat, stir occasionally for at least 1 and half hour.
- Then ready to serve.
